New Method of Vector Control in PMSM Motors

The paper introduces a new method for vector control of PMSM (Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motor) motors called theta-FOC. This combines the advantages simple sinusoidal and Field Oriented Control (FOC). proposes introducing an additional parameter that determines electrical angle between motor’s voltage space rotor magnetic flux axis. classical was modified to reduce number necessary calculations. proposed allows decoupling calculations from cyclic PWM (Pulse Width Modulation) signal, enabling be performed at frequency different PWM. results in possibility achieving higher signal. Additionally, minimizes influence deviation actual command generated controller high frequencies, leading better operation system terms field weakening. has been tested under typical operating conditions similarly FOC method, but with reduced calculations, therefore time.
